Pork and Apple Skewers
750g pork steaks 2 Green Apples 1 onion Plum and Shiraz Sauce Skewers
Plum and Shiraz Sauce
1. Cut pork into 1 1/2 cm cubes marinate in sauce, preferably overnight 2. Soak skewers in water for half and hour 3. Peel and core apples. Cut into 1 1/2 cm cubes 4. Peel onion and chop into 1 1/2 cm pieces 5. Thread pork, apple and onion onto skewers 6. Grill on BBQ until pork is cooked 7. Enjoy!
Story behind this recipe
I wanted to do a variation of the traditional roast pork and apple sauce for a BBQ, so pork and apple skewers were created. But they needed more flavour, that's where the delicious Beerenberg Plum and Shiraz Sauce saved the day! And now these skewers are mandatory at every BBQ
