Curiousity "singed" the cat
Our cat Rosie, who's no longer with us, once jumped up onto the BBQ hotplate to check out the sizzling snags. The surface was far hotter than she expected and she jumped off quick smart. We discovered that putting ice on a cat's paws ain't easy!

I'd think you'd find this type of thing would occur quite a lot (unfortunately for animals). I've had to stop my dog from trying to grab a sausage of a cooking hot plate before!
